From Visibility to Sustainability

Black Brilliance on the Rooftop was founded to build culture, elevate commerce, and inspire creativity. As our community grows, so does our commitment to strengthening the infrastructure that supports Black and minority-owned small businesses in Brevard County.

We believe that talent is abundant. Access, coordination, and sustainability must be intentionally built.

Our Community Quarterback Initiative is designed to strengthen the small business ecosystem by serving as a trusted connector between entrepreneurs, institutions, and resources.

Why This Work Matters

Brevard County has a growing network of small business owners, creatives, veterans, and professionals. However, under-resourced entrepreneurs often face:

  • Limited access to coordinated capital pathways

  • Fragmented information about available programs and services

  • Gaps in financial literacy and business structure education

  • Lack of consistent cross-sector collaboration

While resources exist, navigation and alignment are not always equitable.

Black Brilliance on the Rooftop is working to bridge that gap.

Our Four-Pillar Approach

We convene cross-sector stakeholders — including chambers, city leadership, economic development partners, financial institutions, veteran organizations, and service providers — to improve communication and reduce duplication of effort.

Our goal is to build clear referral pathways and coordinated support systems that help entrepreneurs move forward with confidence.

1. Ecosystem Coordination

Through structured workshops, we equip entrepreneurs with foundational knowledge in:

  • Business entity structure

  • Financial literacy and cash flow management

  • Compliance readiness

  • Capital preparation

  • Strategic growth planning

Because visibility without structure is temporary.

2. Business Fundamentals Education

Access to funding should accelerate growth — not create confusion.

We work to connect small businesses with financial institutions, lenders, and funding opportunities while strengthening their readiness to secure and responsibly manage capital.

3. Capital Readiness & Access

Our rooftop events and community gatherings are more than celebrations. They are intentional spaces where entrepreneurs build strategic relationships, collaborate across industries, and connect culture to commerce.

We believe economic empowerment and cultural pride must coexist.

4. Cultural & Economic Convening
